Our medical transcriptionists (Caretech MTs) are high achievers and a majority of them are Masters or Bachelors degree holders in the biological sciences. We hire them after intensive screening, testing in English and personal interviews. We pay them a salary during training. Our in-house intensive training program is full-time, and lasts for six to eight months. It covers medical terminology for all major medical specialties, anatomy and physiology, pharmacology, laboratory medicine, internal medicine, and surgery in addition to intensive training in transcription. After successful completion of the comprehensive exam at the end of the in-house training program, trainees join our Operations Center and are assigned specific accounts.
We promote an atmosphere of learning and collegiality within Operations as well. We encourage transcriptionists to help each other, and foster co-operation that puts client satisfaction above all other considerations. At Caretech, transcriptionists are trained to work across accounts and specialties. We firmly believe that this approach promotes individual development and ensures that we have the depth of talent that enables us to serve our clients better.
We believe transcriptionists are professionals. We treat them as professionals who are responsible for their own work and proud of what they do. We set high standards, give regular and constructive feedback, and provide every opportunity for self development.
